Eighth day OpenLabPerformance 2018
29 May 2018
The production of all performances ended with the “love against institutions” one, which previously was born like “conflict between two entities”. The action takes place on the digital level with one performer, and on the real one with two. Two girls interact with each other with a series of gestures, letting the audience guessing the affection and the love tension between them, while they try to get closer to each other, the virtual performer, dressed as the Pope, who represents institutions in general, splits them up. After that, the girls stomping on the ground make the Pope shrinks and the performance ends with the performers hugging each other representing their victory. The Pope costume has been sewed accurately and painted with a gold marker; the equipments for the costume were a bed sheet and a white cardboard. The music has been edited with ProTools in order to create the right rhythm for the performance. The shooting and the rehearsals were completed in about two and a half hours and only the final editing is missing. The day ended with the last video interview.
