PRODUCTION (non in repertorio)
A (d’acqua) – The Augmented Stage in Torino
Multimedia Interactive Performance directed by Koic Thtr (ES)
A (d’acqua) – The Augmented Stage in Turin is an original creation resulting from a transnational work in progress.
To create A (d’acqua), 20 students from MultiDams and Cinema and Media Engineering were selected in Turin who worked with Italian and Spanish professionals and researchers. A team of performers, one of audiovisual / multimedia production, one of IT management and control and one of documentation worked intensively.
In addition to being multimedia and interdisciplinary, the performance makes use of elaborate technological means (some of which have been conceived and created in Piedmont such as the Solumnium software) that allow interactive and prosthetic communication between performers and stage machines.
Performers and musical instruments operate wireless sensors directly connected to video images, 3D graphics and electronic synthetic music, modifying the performance in real time. A sort of sensitive scene that leads to its “expansion” through technological devices for the creation of sound and visual effects.
The performance deals with the theme of water through exciting sensory suggestions, spaces for reflection for the public and questions. Through images, sounds, bodies that show water in all its preciousness and fullness, the Konic suggest an investigation into the improper use / abuse / exploitation of water resources in the world. Water: main element of the human body, universal primary and vital energy, delicate drop or immense, devastating powerful force.
