Cotrone – Officine Sintetici Production, is an Italian-Spanish production that involves professionals who work in different fields, from cultural to technological research.
The show is directed by Marcel.lì Antύnez Roca with an Italian-Spanish team of professionals and students.
STORY-LINE
Cotrone is inspired by the unfinished and posthumous work of L. Pirandello The Giants of the Mountain.
The last act, never written, that the author has only told, on his deathbed, to his son, becomes the suggestive “mystery” from which the show is born.
The carnal and at the same time fantastic world of Marcel.li finds a surprising affinity with the enigmas that surround the Villa della Scalogna and in particular the Arsenal of the Apparitions. And it is precisely this last place, transformed by the visionary, ironic and technological nature of the Catalan performer, the one appointed to host a potential, unfinished last act of I Giganti della Montagna.
LANGUAGES
Cotrone takes place in an essential scene, made up of a large screen, sensitive carpets, a video camera and some particular technological devices such as the “guncam”. The two actors wear “Dreskeleton”, exoskeletal interfaces developed by Marcel.lì starting from 1998 and transformed ad hoc for this show.
A network of hardware devices and software applications, including the new updated version v4 POL, make it possible to show a show that makes use of a specific working methodology developed by Marcel.lì and defined as “Systematurgy”.
Cotrone transcends the habits of the traditional theatrical dramatic form by generating new contexts in which digital interaction, augmented reality and different interfaces allow the actor or audience to expand their usual role
